What we cover
Padel is the fastest-growing racquet sport in the world. The journalism around it has, for years, treated it as a smaller cousin of tennis. Courtelier exists because that misses the point.
We cover padel as it actually exists. A sport played in places worth visiting, with equipment worth choosing carefully, by businesses and people whose stories are worth telling. Lifestyle, culture and business. Clubs, brands, players and destinations. The match coverage matters. So does everything around it.
Where we are
Courtelier is published from London with a European and global remit. We follow the game wherever it is interesting: the maturity of the Spanish scene, the velocity in Italy, the steady growth in Sweden, the rapid build-out across the UAE and the wider Gulf, and the UK boom that has redrawn the racquet-sports map at home.
Editorial standards
We do not accept payment, products or hospitality in exchange for editorial coverage. Equipment we review is purchased or returned to the manufacturer. Sponsored content, when it appears, is clearly marked and produced separately from our editorial team. Our advertising business and our editorial business are kept structurally apart.
Sources and verification
News stories are verified by at least one named source on the record where possible. Anonymous attribution is used sparingly and only where the public interest is clear. Numbers are sourced and dated. Direct quotes are confirmed with the speaker before publication where the conversation was not on tape.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we correct it transparently and quickly. Corrections are added to the bottom of the article with the date of the correction noted, and the article's modified timestamp is updated so feeds can pick up the change. We do not silently edit corrections out of public view.
To request a correction, email hello@courtelier.com with subject "Correction" and the URL of the article. We aim to action factual corrections within one working day.
Sponsored content and disclosure
Sponsored articles are clearly labelled Sponsored in the same eyebrow position as our editorial categories. There is no way to hide that label. We do not retroactively attach a brand to an existing editorial piece. We will say no to commissions that conflict with our editorial coverage. See advertise with us for how partnerships work.
Privacy and analytics
We do not run programmatic advertising, behavioural ad targeting or retargeting pixels. We use Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics 4 for first-party site analytics, only with reader consent. See our cookies policy for the detail and privacy policy for everything else.
Who we are
Courtelier is published by London Press House. Our masthead is anonymous for now. We want the writing to stand on the page, not behind a byline. As the team grows we will introduce the people doing the work, but only when there is something to introduce.
