Courtelier uses one essential session cookie and one item of localStorage for the cookie banner itself. With your consent, we also use Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics 4 to understand how readers find and move through the site so we can improve it. We do not use Facebook Pixel, advertising cookies or any other third-party tracking. Analytics scripts only load after you click Accept on the cookie banner.

If you click Accept on the cookie banner, we load Microsoft Clarity. Clarity records aggregate interaction data (pages viewed, scroll depth, click locations, anonymised session replays) so we can identify pages that confuse readers and content that works. Data is processed by Microsoft Corporation under their privacy statement.
Google Analytics 4 (analytics, optional)
If you click Accept on the cookie banner, we also load Google Analytics 4. GA4 records aggregate audience and acquisition data (which articles get read, where readers come from, what country they read from) so we can understand how the site is performing. Data is processed by Google LLC under their privacy policy. We have IP anonymisation enabled.

- Advertising or retargeting cookies
- Social media tracking pixels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok)
- A/B testing platforms
- Cross-site tracking of any kind

How to clear what we've set
You can clear the session cookie at any time via your browser settings (look for "Clear cookies for this site"). The localStorage item lives in the same browser-storage area; clearing it will cause the cookie consent banner to reappear on your next visit.
